The cycling in Azerbaijan was over pretty quickly. Just 5 days cycling, then 10 days of waiting. First in Baku for Uzbekistan visas, then at Alat port for the ferry. (Then waited 40 hours near Baku for the wind to die down).
Nearly all of it was really hot, pushing the mercury up to 45°c at times.
The scenery was pretty epic, riding along the bottom of the Caucasus mountains. Then it turned into large barren hills. The people were very welcoming and all wanted photos with us. It was a good introduction to what was about to come in Kazakhstan.
